Grant was a former Professional Water Skier. He captained Australia for 5 years competing at 2 World Championships and 4 Asian Australasian Championships. He was a 3-time National Champion and 2-time Asian Australasian Champion. Post retirement Grant was invited to be a specialist live commentator for the Seven Network Australia & ABC at the Moomba Masters Water Ski Event in Melbourne Australia. The event was broadcast live nationally around Australia.
