I’m proud to share our very first New South Wales market wrap since joining the Apollo Auctions team and what a start it’s been. Watch our first monthly wrap here.

With an overall success rate of 78.8%, NSW outperformed the national average of 73.2%, showing strong buyer engagement and positive momentum across the state.

We saw 3.3 registered bidders per auction, just shy of the national Apollo average of 3.9, but more telling was the average of 2.3 active bidders, right in line with the national benchmark of 2.5. The message? NSW buyers are turning up ready to compete and transact, and vendors who are meeting the market are seeing great results.

A few standout data points from July:

These results are a credit to the agents we work alongside and a sign of confidence building as we move toward the spring market. NSW is demonstrating that when properties are priced right and auction is used effectively, premium results follow.

That said, we are starting to see a rise in postponed auctions across the state which is an early warning sign that some vendors may be hesitating at the wrong time. Now more than ever, it’s crucial we stay strong in our belief in the auction process. With growing speculation that the government may reduce interest rates as early as next week, there’s every chance we’ll see renewed confidence, a strong close to winter, and the kind of spring surge we haven’t experienced in the past two years. The agents who stay the course and guide their vendors with clarity and conviction will be the ones who benefit most.

We’re excited to keep driving momentum and helping more agents across the state extract the best outcomes possible for their clients. If you’d like support with auction strategy, on-site delivery or buyer and vendor dialogue – we’re here to help.
